Amalia Teodora Birthday!

Today, my beautiful and lovely wife Mihaela, aka Mi, gave birth to Amalia Teodora at 08:15 AM, Romanian time! A few numbers related to Amalia:

  • weight: 3.5 kg
  • height: 53 cm
  • birth note: 10

Both Mi and Amalia are ok. Mi will have to take little steps to recover from the cesarian intervention but with my help and my love, she will be fine, I’m sure.

The feeling seeing my baby girl was… overwhelming! Suddenly, everything in my life became so worthless, so blurred! For a few seconds I had no past, no present and no future! It is an amazing feeling I’m guessing each dad is trying when first seeing his baby! I felt like I have to surround both Mi and Amalia with my love and my care, to give them all the best I possible can.

I am so, so happy I can’t describe it!

See her on YouTube [ embending it here causes the layout to break ]!

Internet Explorer… 8! Oh, not again!

It seems MSFT is cooking the next release of IE8, beta version being available here! For all the developers out there this is not more but another headache. It means we will all need to test our websites on:

  • IE6
  • IE7
  • IE8
  • FF
  • Safari
  • Opera

The first three of the above browsers are the worst to make them render correctly a standard compliant code… Yet, MSFT is about to release more headache for us…

This is the worst part on being a client-side developer… You have to make all the browsers render the same way the same HTML/CSS code. But… how can you make a deaf hear or a blind see?

presidency.ro

Why a domain name “presidency.ro” when:

  • we live in Romania
  • the site is for Romanians [ at least intended ]
  • “The English version of the website is not available for the moment.”

Wouldn’t be more logic to have a site called “presedinte.ro” because:

  • we live in Romania
  • the site is for Romanians [ at least intended ]
