ThermalTake Volcano11+

I have discovered few months ago, when I upgraded my PC, that I’m an overclock fan! These are the new pieces that I have bought:
- CPU: AMD Sempron 2600+ BOX [1833MHz as multiplier 11 x BUS Speed 166]
- Mother Board: EPoX 8RDA3I PRO [with SATA and RAID]
- Memory: DDRAM 512 Kingmax PC3200/400MHz [lifetime guarantee]
- Case: noname 400W

Now, because I had bought DDRAM at 400MHz, I was expect that I will use its power. But, surprise… My CPU have 333MHz bus. So, I have tried to overclock the CPU at 2200MHz [11×200]. Because of the poor performance cooler, this overclock failed.

I decided to buy a new cooler which can cool my CPU. I have sold my old mother board [Gigabyte GA-7VA-C] and I have bought an impressive ThermalTake Volcano11+.

Raiffeisen Bank

Because I have to make a payment to an US company, I had to open an USD account. I have selected to do that with Raiffeisen Bank here in Iasi. The bank officier was very operative [I was late to the daily job]. In no more than 15 minutes I left the building heading to the office.

I have to wait 10 days to receive the debit card attached to my account, but this is not an issue. A big plus with this bank account is that I can accept donations from all over the world.

As soon as I get the debit card, I will pay for domain name and webhosting.

I can’t wait to do that and finally launch Isarie’s.

Webhosting

Yesterday I have accidentally found my webhosting company of choice: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/. These guys are very friendly and I decided that Isarie’s website will be hosted with them.

But before buying the domain name and the hosting package, I have to pay a visit to Raiffeisen Bank where I will get a debit card which works well with Internet payments.

Movable Type Installation Successfully Done

Yessss! After a battle of 3 days, I have managed to install Movable Type on my Windows XP box at home.

I have no experience with Perl and when first time loading the /mt-load.cgi I got an error that stated DBI::mysql driver could not be loaded. Didn’t know what to do… so, I google it and found that I can use a program that runs in WinXP console: ppm. This way I have downloaded additiona modules for Perl and successfully installed Movable Type.

I’m still working on the interface of the future Isarie’s website. But… so far so good. With patience, I’ll win.
